ボタンや筐体に文字を入れるためにインレタを探した。サンハヤトからはもう発売されていないようだ。写真はおそらく20年以上前に購入したもの。
I searched instant lettering to put text on buttons and case. Now it doesn't seemed to be sold by Sunhayato. The following photo is own instant lettering which purchased over 20 years ago.

Labeling

梅雨で塗装の機会がなかなかなかったが、ひとまずサーフェイサーを吹いた。塗装はつや消しの黒にしたいので塗料を買ってこないと。
I had not had a chance to paint case because of the rainy season. Today I sprayed a surfacer on it. I wanna color the case matte black, so it needs to buy a paint.

操作ボタンや液晶を載せたサブ基板が完成したので動作確認。問題なく動作。
I checked functions of the kit after sub PCBs that have operational buttons and LCD was finished to make. The result was OK.

Test

光り物の明るさも問題ない。
The brightness of lamps and back light is also OK.

初期設定をすませてカーチャンクを少し楽しむ。後はケースの塗装や文字入れを行って完成の予定。
I'm enjoying this kit a little after completed initial configuration. Remained tasks are painting case, and labeling.

ケース組み込みのためにサブ基板を作成。写真は操作ボタンと状況表示用のLEDを搭載した基板。LED用の抵抗は後で。
I made a sub PCB for mounting in the case. The photos is the sub PCB that has operation buttons and status LEDs . Resistances for LEDs have not been on it yet.

基板をケースに組み込んでみた。前面の穴あけはまだ完了していない。
I set PCBs in the case. Making holes has not been completed yet.

外付けにするスイッチやLEDを除いて半田付けが完了。かかった時間は2時間弱。抵抗やコンデンサーの数は程よい量。
Soldering is complete except for switches and LED. It took about 2 hours. The volume of resistors and capacities is not too much, not to little. So I felt fulfilled without fatigue after soldering them.

PCB

IC(aPR33A3)の下にあるコンデンサー2つはコンデンサーが太いこと、近接する抵抗の影響で少し浮いた感じに。
The two capacities near the IC(aPR33A3) are a little floating due to there are thick and a register is close to them.

黒い基板は半田した面の確認が少しやりづらいが全体としては組みやすいキット。
It's a little difficult to check the solder because the PCB color is black. But the kit is easy to assemble as a whole.

Custom ordered case for the kerchunk server has been arrived.

早速、基板と液晶を配置して確認。
Immediately, I confirmed devices can be stored in the box.

カーチャンク・サーバーのキットを入手。頒布元は http://project59.blog.fc2.com。
I got a kit of the kerchunk server that is named KS-01 from http://project59.blog.fc2.com.

Package

キットを格納するケースにタカチのMB12-3-12(MB-62)を検討したが、ケースの高さが液晶の高さより少し足りなくて残念ながら使用できず。
しかたがないので120(W)×120(W)×30(H)のケースを特注することに。
I examined using the TAKACHI M12-3-12(MB-62) for storing the kit. Unfortunately the height of the case is a little lower than the height of LCD parts.
There is no choice from ready-made lineup, I decided to make a custom order. The size is 120(W)*120(D)*30(H).

Test

前面に状態表示LED、液晶、操作ボタンを特注予定のケースに仮で配置。
Status LEDs, LCD and buttons for operation are placed on the front panel in the custom case. The location of parts is tentative now.
