Yaesu VR-160 LED modification

八重洲無線VR-160のバックライトのカラーはオレンジ。好みの色ではないのでバックライト用のLEDを交換することにした。
Yaesu provides the orange color backlight for VR-160. But I prefer green color than orange color. So I decided to replace its LEDs.

VR-160 backlight (original color)

基板上には7つのLEDが取り付けられてる。赤で丸く囲んだ場所にLEDがある。交換用のLEDにはOptoSupplyのOSYG1608C1Aを使用。
VR-160 uses 7 LEDs on a board. Red circle is the location of the LED. I used yellow green LED (OSYG1608C1A made by OptoSupply) for replacement.

交換後のバックライト輝度は若干暗めだが、結果に満足。
The brightness of backlight is a little darker as a result. But I'm satisfied with this change.
